Job Description


Essential to OpenBet’s strategic goals and motivated to contribute to business success, our Global Talent Acquisition function is focused on finding amazing Talent for our business. We have been in high growth mode in the UK & Europe over the past year, and this creates lots of visibility and impact for the team.


As Talent Acquisition Manager, you will lead a small team of TA professionals and act as a Talent Business Partner with the Technology/Engineering teams as well as wider Corporate functions - to deliver sustainable and inclusive hiring strategies in order to continue to grow our hubs across UK/EU. Your exceptional stakeholder management will be key to your success, and you will be expected to build strong relationships, drive process improvements, educate the business on the talent market, our processes and hiring best practice.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage a small Talent Acquisition team (UK/EU) to ensure a proactive Recruitment service to the business leading the Talent Acquisition Partners/Specialists to deliver high performance in terms of overall Talent Acquisition delivery

  • Manage your own portfolio of vacancies whilst developing and implementing strategic and direct sourcing strategies

  • Build sourcing strategies for the different businesses covered; Evaluate and maintain all Recruitment channels (internal and external – job boards, databases, employee referrals, careers fairs etc.), maintain agency PSL and make recommendations on supplier usage and spend

  • Improve Recruitment processes, tools and practices by spotting proactive opportunities for improvement - designing, proposing, implementing, communicating and measuring impacts of Recruitment solutions

  • Strengthen a culture of TA operational excellence and direct sourcing within his/her team but also with the wider internal TA community

  • Partner with the Business/Finance and colleagues in Business HR on development of workforce planning to ensure we have visibility of the hiring plan in order to source the best talent internally and externally

  • Build trust with internal stakeholders by managing the deliverables of her/his team: deliver against core KPI’s set for Global TA function and manage workload, development plan, performance reviews

  • Ensure strong data integrity in terms of ATS Management in order to generate reliable hiring activity reports by region, BU or function in order to keep stakeholders up to date with Recruitment progress

  • Educate and train hiring managers related to recruiting; process, interviewing best practice

  • Participate in and lead improvement projects as required in Global TA CoE and wider HR (as appropriate)

Skills And Experience

  • Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Manager with solid minimum 8-10 years of experience. Someone who is solution orientated with a track record of delivering excellent overall hiring experiences for hiring teams and internal/external candidates. You’ll be used to working within a fast-paced business, and it would be ideal if you come from the Technology sector or have worked in a business with a strong Digital footprint.

  • This is a player/Manager role therefore strong people management experience with previous experience of managing a small number of TA resources that are geographically dispersed (UK/EU)

  • In-depth experience of recruiting across a breadth of Technology areas (Software Engineering, Dev Ops, Product Management, QA etc.) applying cutting edge, innovative techniques to deliver market leading Talent. Experience of Recruiting in Corporate areas also preferred.

  • An expertise in headhunting, mapping and direct sourcing using tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter combined with strong Boolean searching skills, and you should bring a clear vision of what great talent looks like as well as how to find and attract it

  • An eye for detail and a natural, data focused mindset when hiring and using data to influence stakeholders. Analytical mindset with sophisticated management of hiring metrics, reporting, analysis and workforce planning strategies for client groups

  • Previous experience of working with Enterprise level Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)

  • A curiosity, pragmatism and intelligence, with a focus on achieving great results whilst ensuring that you consult with stakeholders and can effectively do so at all levels

  • Experience operating at all levels with strong communication style, and a highly collaborative approach. Strong overall stakeholder management skills with ability to build trust and credibility quickly

  • An ability to work with pace and flexibility, combining tenacity with rigour and sound judgement. High degree of self-management, autonomy & proactive attitude
