How You Will Contribute:
As the Senior Manager for TA across EMEA & APJ, you will provide leadership, development, and coaching for EMEA & APJ Talent Acquisition team. Ensuring best in class talent attraction, candidate care and business partnering. Providing guidance and insight that enables best in class delivery aligned to Ciena’s strategy and day to day operations.
Responsible for planning, developing and executing on recruitment strategies to enable business to meet headcount growth plans.
Provide leadership on TA operations and process efficiency across region
Create and nurture an environment that drives recruiting excellence to attract the best talent and build Ciena as an employer of choice.
Manage and support the local TA team, ensuring effective communication of our long-term strategic direction, and the translation of this into goals and objectives
Implement process improvements in the recruiting area
Collaborate and leverage partners and stakeholders to ensure successful attainment of talent at all levels.
Use recruiting data and metrics to influence and educate the business on talent attraction best practices, resulting in improved candidate experience, efficient processes and predictive delivery of forecasted talent .
Cultivate trust and collaborative relationships with key business partners
Develop communication practices to help keep the team informed and educated on global practices, programs, and processes.
Actively explore new recruiting trends, products, and strategies
Participate and contribute to local/global projects
Evolve and champion the required change behaviors to establish TA function as trusted advisor and partner to the business, moving away for the “order taker” mindset

The Must Haves:
Extensive knowledge and progressive experience working within global TA and HR functions
Understanding and experience of hiring across multiple functions and levels in India
Demonstrated track record of success in both agency and in-house recruiting environments
Ability to build relationships at all levels of the business
Successful in developing high performance teams
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrates understanding of global cultural differences
Proven track record in creating and implementing sourcing strategies for passive candidate market
Excellent consultative, problem solving and interpersonal skills
Recognized subject matter expert with strong business acumen
Strong team player with excellent sense of humor
Assets:
Knowledge of Workday.
